Lunchtime Volunteers help students open bags of chips, put straws in pouches, open milk cartons, escort students to the restroom, and keep students focused on nourishing themselves. If you like loud environments, giggles galore, and the potential to quell high-jinks, then this is volunteer opportunity for you.

WatchDOGS is a family & community education initiative. WatchDOGS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father figures (21+) who volunteer for at least part of one day each year at an official WatchDOGS school. While on campus, volunteers may help in the cafeteria or library, complete general door & safety checks, read with small groups of students, assist in the front office, etc. Our goal is to provide positive male role models for the students and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears in our school security protocols. Please reach out to Ara Doffing with questions at 512-841-2400. 

Lost and Found Volunteers help sort through lost items like jackets, water bottles, and lunches. If items are labeled, give list of student names to the front office staff to message teachers. Tag any unlabeled items with a sticker two weeks from that day to be donated. If possible, head out to the playground to round up any left items to bring to the front lobby. 
Gloves and trash bags provided.
Spend 20-30 minutes during arrival, lunch, or dismissal time - or really any other time that works with your schedule!

Library Volunteers work with our awesome librarian, Sarah Rasmussen, and her wonderful clerk, Lisa Vienneau, to help support the library. Join this dedicated team whenever you can and help by organizing our amazing collection of books in the library, supporting Book Fair operations twice a year, assisting students in locating books during their class time, or joining the illustrious Library Decorating Committee.

 Join the PTA!  Carve out some time for Mills PTA. Tasks can range from 30 minutes to a few hours a month. Email president.millspta@gmail.com, and they will help find a role that fits your talents and schedule. There are regular opportunities like helping in the teacher workroom and with campus beautification, or there are events such as the Mills Fall Festival and Holidays Around the World. You can always take part in one of the PTA Committees!
